The concept of subZERO originated from David Taylor himself, and his idea was realized in a commission between Absolute Ensemble and E. Williams Music Publishing. A tour de force for the soloist, this piece takes full advantage of David Taylor’s talents. It is designed to lead you through a holistic experience of our musical world: a universe of sounds that has never been more fascinating than today. Taylor has developed a vast arsenal of new sounds and means of expression on his instrument, which made writing this piece a fascinating experience, tapping into this underworld of sonar avant-garde music, classical music, Latin music, as well as jazz and rock.
