KAIA String Quartet will present works by Latinamerican composers that represent the female voice. The concert will feature two commissioned pieces including a world premier, by Chicago composer Amos Gillespie based on writings of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz and Isabel Allende. After the performance, stay for a virtually Q&A with composers Sonia Morales Matos from Puerto Rico and Laura Chavez Blanco from Mexico.
